Bliss


Curtains were closed, the lights were off
She rocked back and forth laughing ever so soft
Was it madness, was her sanity lost
Or was her humanity that was the cost
This small insight gave her slight pause

She was changing she knew because of how she was feeling
A sudden flash of bright blue sky filled her vision
Maybe it was her eyes ever so deceiving
Her body was light and it felt ravishing
The wind in her hair was ever so relieving

Wind seemed to move with her not against
The whole experience didn’t make sense
But soon her worries were pushed aside
It was like she had wings with which to soar and glide
Pure joy flowed through her it felt so good she almost cried

A realization swept across her mind
She wasn’t riding the wind she was the wind
And then awoke her dream vanished
Brighter seemed the day and she seemed to have nothing but time
What should she do what shouldn’t she do

At a park a bright young lady sits
Seeming to laugh and giggle in fits
People who pass by think she’s totally lost it
A spark in her seems to have been lit
She grins broadly at you making you wonder what’s there to get
